The 16th Biennial Symposium of
the Comparative Nutrition Society
In July 2026, we’ll gather once again—this time in the stunning setting of Victoria, British Columbia—for our annual CNS Symposium. But this year is more than just another meeting. It’s a milestone!
For three decades, the Comparative Nutrition Society has been a home for scientists, researchers, professionals, and students who share a passion for understanding nutrition across species and systems. We’ve grown together, inspired each other, and built a vibrant, interdisciplinary community that spans continents and careers.
From July 26–30, 2026, at the Inn at Laurel Point, we’ll come together not just to learn and exchange ideas—but to reflect on how far we’ve come and where we’re headed next.
Hotel Information:
We highly encourage everyone to stay at the Inn at Laurel Point, where we will be having all our symposium events, fireside chats, and meals. Meals include light snacks at the icebreaker, a full hot breakfast, lunch and dinner on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday we will have a hot breakfast and snacks, but leave the afternoon for explorations and group activities. Friday will be a farewell quick breakfast. All food is included in your registration costs.
There will be no deposit necessary to book the Inn at Laurel Point. CNS has covered all deposits, so we encourage everyone to book soon! All reservations made prior to May 1st will be entered into a lottery for an upgraded room – an Erickson Wing Studio room.
Our block of rooms are for the Laurel Wing – all of which do have small balconies. Guest room rates are based on single or double occupancy and are exclusive of applicable taxes and service fees. A charge of $25.00 applies to each additional guest over the age of 18. The Hotel is a 100% non-smoking property, this includes guest room balconies and patios. A penalty fee will be charged should evidence be found of smoking. This penalty fee is currently $250.00. The room rate is $359 Canadian, which is currently ~$262.00 American.
Pre and Post Room Nights
We are pleased to extend this preferred guest room pricing to your Members three days before the guest room blocked dates, based on availability in the group rate category. We are unable to extend your group rates to post stays for these dates. It is a holiday weekend in Victoria after the conference, so plan accordingly.
